Russia WWII Medal for the Defense of the Polar Region
The Medal "For the Defense of the Soviet Transarctic" was awarded to all participants in the defense of the Soviet Arctic region – soldiers of the Red Army, Navy and troops of the NKVD, as well as persons from the civilian population who took part in the defense of the North.
The medal is made of brass with a gold wash. This medal is in very good condition with strong details. Most of the gold plating is still present and the medal comes complete with original ribbon which is fastened to a time period metal plate.
