Medal for the Capture of Budapest Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part of the capture of Budapest 13 february 1945. Awarded 362,050 times.
This Medal for the Capture of Budapest (Type 1) is in very good condition with most of the gold colored wash still intact. The medal comes complete with original ribbon sewn to a period made metal backplate with a pin back device to the reverse.

 

Award Document: For participating in the heroic assault and capture of Budapest, awarded to Red Army man "Plohotny Ivan Petrovich", by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR on June 9, 1945
”For the Capture of Budapest”. On behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR, the medal was awarded
on September 16, 1947. The Award booklet is in good used condition with minor age toning and a couple of minor stains. We rate the condition as very good considering the age.
