Russian WWII M35 Tank/Artillery Officer's Side Cap

This type of side cap called "M35" was Introduced by order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 of December 3, 1935.

Officer style, Tank or Artillery (the Red Army used the same weapon color for this branches of service) cap is made of grey colored wool. To the front of the cap is a star made of grey colored cloth, pinned to the center of the star is a red enamel star with a sickle and a hammer. The cap has full Red colored piping made of wool to the top Crown and sides.

The lining is made of drill cloth and shows a manufacturers stamp which is hard to read: Still we can read the most important information "1940" which is the year of manufacturing. Original sweat band still in Place. The sweat band is made of "ersatz" leather. Cap size about 57,5.

The cap shows clear signs of use. Still good condition!
