Russia WWII Medal For the Capture of Berlin
The Medal "For the Capture of Berlin" was awarded to soldiers of the Red Army, Navy, and troops of the NKVD, direct participants of the assault and capture of Berlin as well as to the organizers and leaders of combat operations in the capture of this city between 22 April and 2 May 1945
The medal was established on June 9, 1945 and was awarded to about 1.100.000 people.
This medal for the Capture of Berlin (Type 2). The ear of the medal is fully stamped. This type was awarded after the Second World War in 1946-1948. persons who for some reason have not received the medal before. Medal is in very good condition made of gold plated brass with most of the gold colored wash still intact. The medal comes complete with original ribbon the pad is single-layer of the brass.
