Russian WWII Garde Border Patrool Boat Unit. 1'st grade Captain's Tunic equal to army Colonel.
This tunic was used by a NKVD marine border patrool boat's, commander of a boat division. The tunic modell is 1943 (no. 25)
The tunic is made of light weight blue colored, high quality rayon/wool blended cloth. Five buttons for front closure with a stiff standing color with two hooks to the neck. To each shoulder is m43 type epaulette with Three larger stars to each made of metal and pinned in Place. The reverse of the epauletts is marked "1944" for year of manufacturing. Also size marked "3" for size 3. Two chest pockets with scaloped pocket flaps, and two pockets to each hip. Each cuff have each one bullion star with the correct war time "metal heart" to the center... Which are hand sewn in Place. Located under the star is a golden bullion rank tab denoting the rank of 1'st captain sewn in Place. Lower cuffs also have two buttons each with a navy anchor.
To each breast side is clear ghost marks for two Awards. What is extra interesting is the clear marks showing exactly which Award was worned to the tunic, nothing less then "Red Banner Order" , "patriotic war" and "Red star" all with screw back device.
Inside is fully lined with fine rayon blend cloth. One inside buttoned down pocket with tailors label still intact. The label reads: "Military tailor store nr 5, Leningrad". The tunic show overall good used condition with signs of wear and age, no damage!.
