Named Zollassistent Tailor Made M35 Great Coat
M35 pattern highest quality field-grey wool Construction. Double breasted style, full length greatcoat with a dark green cloth lay down collar. The greatcoat features dual rows of six front closure buttons with corresponding button holes The greatcoat also has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. To each shoulder is a sewn-in shoulder board with dark-green underlay and silver russian braid top with "RSV" (German Customs Reichsfinanzverwaltung) alloy metal cypher and one alloy rank pip for the rank "Zoll Assistant". To the left sleeve, situated just above the french cuff is an armband made of green rayon with a machine embroidered customs national eagle and upper and lower edges also machine embroidered with silver threads. The armband has been reattached to the tunic, the missing one was machine sewn in Place, this one is neatly hand sewn in Place.
Inside is fully lined with silver/grey rayon. Dagger hanger with metal clip intact. The metal clip is maker marked "A" DRGM. The inner neck has a very nice tailor label neatly hand sewn in Place. Inside the left side inner pocket is a perfectly matching tailor / name label machine sewn in Place. Named and dated 1943.
The coat is in very good condition with minimal signs of age and use.
