Heer Infantry Rgt 5 Uffz's M36 Combat Tunic

Uffz in Infantry Rgt 5, true Issue M36 pattern tunic. Made of early war field-grey combat wool with five buttons front closure.

Tunic has aluminium tresse machine sewn to collar. Darkg-reen "Einheitzlitzen" sewn to dark green underlays have also been machine sewn to the the tunics original dark green collar. Dark green early pointed shoulder strap's without piping but with white chainstitched "No 5" cyphers to them has same type of dull aluminum NCO´s tresse sewn around them as on collar. Each board the aluminium litz sewn open at the bottom denoting rank of Uffz. The litzen has started to fray a bit at the edges from wear, nothing to bad though. Bevo EM/NCO´s white breasteagle on darkgreen backing is machine sewn above right breast pocket (original factory sewing). All original buttons still in place.

Inside the tunic have grey brushed cotton lining. The right chest panel is manufacture, size and year marked F39 for the Frankfurt depot 1939. The size stamps have been overstamped with new ones when the tunic was resized. The tunic also got original M36 belthook holder straps, but here they are cut and sewn to the tunic, very neatly done, probably when the tunic was resized.

The tunic is in good medium used condition, there are napwear all over but mainly at edges and highlighted positions. Insignia match perfectly in condition. There is signs of minor sweat and stainings to the lining. The tunic was probably worn as the walking out tunic or as a second front tunic with lesser wear. Impressive piece which is all original, nothing added nothing removed.

Rare M36 tunic in very nice worn condition. Will make a killer Infantry display!!
