Heer Panzer Oberfeldwebel RGT 8 Panzer Wrapper

Second pattern thick black wool Construction, double breasted style tunic with fold back lapels and a large lay down collar. Seven button front closure. The tunic has a single metal hook and eye positioned at the forward neckline. The right breast has an M40 pattern machine woven breast eagle in grey rayon threads on a black rayon base. The eagle is machine stitched to the tunic. The eagle has been separated to the top from the rayon backing. Nothing major, but we advice to sew a thread or two to prevent further fraying. Reverse of the tunic has the correct Heer vertical central seam. The sleeve cuffs each have a small outside seam with dual fit adjustment buttons to each. The tunic has black wool construction slip-on shoulder straps with pink wool waffenfarbe piping. Each with silver/aluminum rank tresse all around the edges, two alloy rank pips and uniy number cypher "8". The collar features the elongated black wool construction collar tabs with the typical silver washed stamped alloy Danziger style Totenkopf cyphers and pink wool waffenfarbe piping to the outside edges. The collar tabs are machine stitched to the collar. The right skull has the original attachment prongs intact. The left skull are missing its prongs. Both skulls has been reinforce sewn in Place with a natural colored sewing thread positioned between the Eyes. The left sleeve has an AFRIKA cuff band - Award neatly hand stitched in Place. Award loops for Three Awards to the left breast area as well as EKII and east front ribbons sewn in Place.

The interior panels are lined with grey/mouse grey colored brushed cotton. The lining has a pocket to the right breast panel. The lining also has the original grey colored canvas belt support straps with six stitched eyelets to each at the waistline. All original buttons and stitching. The upper left breast panel is marked with faint black size inkstamps. There is also a very faint stamp marking to the outside of the right inner pocket. Most likely a RBNr but impossible to read.

The wrapper is in service used condition with clear signs of real use all over. The insignias match perfect in wear and tear and is original sewn to the wrapper in our opinion.
