Heer Panzer Oberschütze's HBT Combat Tunic
Mid-war circa tunic produced ca 1942-1943 made of reed green HBT weave. Six button front closure with a single metal hook and eye positioned at the neckline. The field blouse has four, non-pleated front pockets with scalloped edged button down flaps. The side panels of the field blouse each have Three stitched eyelets at the waistline for the belt support hooks. The straight cut sleeve cuffs have a sewn closed slash to the outside seams .
HBT fabric shoulder strap retaining loops and buttons are intact. Slided and buttoned down in place at each shoulder is very scarce HBT produced shoulder straps with pink branch color piping. The field blouse has a lay down collar with the typical zig-zag reinforcement stitching to the reverse. The collar has factory machine sewn later war type of collar litzen. The left breast panel has a mid-late war type of EM/NCO's BeVo produced national eagle. The eagle is factory machine sewn in Place. To the left upper arm is a rank pip sewn on HBT cloth which is machine sewn in Place. The rank pip denotes the rank "Oberschütze". Left breast pocket has a set of loops for one combat Award.
The interior of the field blouse is partially lined in light grey brushed cotton to the side panels and around the armpits. The interior side panels each have a straps with six stitched eyelets to each for the belt support hooks. Belt support hooks are still in Place. The front closure and exterior pocket buttons are all the removable, field-grey painted, pebbled alloy type secured by circular "S" rings.
The tunic shows clear signs of real use with light color fading and wear marks especially to all exposed parts. Insignias match perfectly in wear and tear and are original to the tunic. No rips, holes or mendings. As said just signs of real service use.
Used but not abused mid war combat tunic with very rare shoulder straps!!
