Customs Official Zollsekretär Tunic With Ribbon Bar And SA Sports Badge
This is a four pocket tunic for a member of the "Zollgrenzschutz und Zollbehörde" or German Customs Service. The rank is equivalent to a stabsfeldwebel in the armed forces (this is a zollsekretär). The tunic is produced in fine grey/green wool. Pleated breast pockets and internal hip pockets. The flaps are scalloped. There is a six button closure made of silver washed pebbled metal. French cuffs to each sleeve. The collar has dark green badge cloth. The collar tabs are produced in dark green rayon, woven with bright silver flat wire wreath, two metal pips and sawtooth border trim. They are machine applied. There are holes in each between the existing pips (from a former promotion). The closure seam and cuffs are piped in dark green. There are sew-in shoulder boards made of dark green badge cloth backings with bright silver flat wire and green cloth braid. Each has a pair of gilt finished metal pips. The cipher is gilt and reads RSV. There are loops for a long ribbon bar and the one Pictures is included. There are also loops for a badge on the left breast pocket. Here we find a SA sports badge in bronze which also comes with the tunic. To the lower left sleeve, situated above the french cuff is a custom officials armband sewn in Place.
The interior is fully lined in green/grey rayon. Original dagger hanger also still in Place.
The tunic is in very good condition and shows only minor signs of wear and age.
