Waffen-SS Spring Oak Leaf / Winter Reversible Camouflage Parka
Three quarter length double breasted parka made of cotton. Spring Oak-leaf pattern camouflage to one side and reversible to white with an internal padding. Six button front closure with a overlapping wind flap. The parka has two slash hip pockets with scalloped edged, button down flaps. Tunnel loop and a smallslash to each side of the front closure at the waistline for a fit adjustment drawstrap. Camouflage drawstrap is still present. The sleeve cuffs still has the fit adjustment straps intact. The parka has an unpadded integral hood with original drawstring still intact.
The parka has an internal, heat retaining padding and is fully reversible to White for Winter camouflage. The White side is constructed of brushed cotton with White colored pressed paper buttons. The Winter side is size marked "3" with a small black ink stamp as well as manufacturer marking or cloth batch stamp with for us unknown purpose.
The parka is in good, well used condition which has been worned mostly with the White side as inside. Oak leaf camouflage shows surprisingly still strong colors. There is clear signs of use especially to the end of the cuffs and to the shoulder area. Here we also find some period made mendings as well as some most likely post-war repaired wear holes (see Pictures!). The Winter White side shows not the same amount of wear but is rather stained from what appears to be sweat, dirt and old blood. The often missing drawstrings still present as well as all of the original buttons, only 1 missing!.
Spring-Winter parkas is harder to find compared to the Autumn-Winter. This one is also in well used but still well preserved condition!!
