Heer Medical Officers Old Style Crusher Cap.
Heer Medical Officers Crusher cap made of doeskin cloth. At front cap have a Bevo flat wire eagle on tan backing as well as a flat wire wreath/cocade on light green backing, both neatly hand sewn to the cap.
Outside the cap show quite a lot of wear and have nap wear all over as well as staining specially to the top one small moth hole to the piping on the side of the cap, hardly possible to find if one do not knows its there. Other then that there are no rip, tears, holes or moth, just very much honest wear. Cap is a real "Salty Dog".
Inside the lining is made from light yellow rayon cloth which is now brown from wear, sweat and stainings. Cap still have it´s original sweatshield which is maker marked for Clemes Wagner with the "Erstklassig" mark. Cap still have it´s original tan leather sweatband which is common to this type of cap, sweatband is maker marked with "Deutsche Leder" and is also well worn.
Inside is made of fully foldable tan gauze material. Cap is really one which have the "been there, and also been there for a long time" look as well as feel to it, it have a extremely nice appearance! It have the smell and feel as a real combat worn untouched "Salty Dog".
Size approx 58 - 59.
Would be hard finding a crusher more worn then this and still hold together so nicely!!
