Coastal Artillery M38 EM/NCO's Side Cap
Field-grey wool Construction side cap with fold down side and back panels. The front center of the cap has a machine woven national eagle in golden yellow rayon threads mounted on a green rayon base. The front center of the fold down panels has a machine woven, national tri-color cockade on a woven, blue/green rayon base. Insignia is original hand stitching to the cap. The interior of the cap is fully lined in mouse-grey drill cloth. No visable markings, most likely worn / washed away. The cap is in very good, still well used condition. Nap wear to all highlighted positions as well as color fading. There is a couple of minor and hardly visable moth bites to the side panels. Inside is rather Clean but still shows clear signs of use. The cap has most likely been washed after the war. Size is about 57.
