Heer Panzer Officers Side Cap
Private purchase cap made of fine field grey wool. Fold down side and back panels. The top edge of the scalloped panels are piped in bright silver/aluminum braid. The front center of the cap has a machine embroidered Heer flatwire NCO/Officer national eagle which has been neatly hand sewn in Place. Front center of the fold down panels has a very nice, higher quality Officer's national tri-color cockade also hand stitched in place. Pink colored soutache denoting service in a panzer unit is hand sewn in Place as well as inserted through two puncture holes (correct type of period application). To each side of the cap is Heavy ventilation grommets crimped in Place.
Inside is lined with grey colored fine drill cloth. Grey colored partial leather swetband still intact. Large size, about 59.
The cap is in very good, little used condition with light signs of storage wear and age.
