Heer Female Signals Auxiliary Corps Side Cap
Constructed of light weight, grey wool with a subtle whipcord weave. Fold down side and back panels. The top crown edge and to the scalloped edges are both trimmed in lemon yellow rayon piping. The front center of the fold down panels has a hand-applied national eagle in mouse grey threads on a woven black rayon base. No national tri-color cockade as per regulations. The left side fold down panel has a clear ghost mark from the missing "Blitz" insignia, se Pictures!
The interior of the cap is fully lined in grey drill cloth. To the front is a partial blackleather sweatband machine sewn in Place. The sweatband has the rather common marking "Qualitäts Marke" imprinted to the the center. Original owner name initials tag is hand stitched to the inside. Size marked stamped 58.
The cap is in good, little used condition with light signs of age and wear.
