Luftwaffe M35 Double Decal Helmet
Stamped sheet steel Construction M35 helmet with original smooth Luftwaffe blue/grey paint. Second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal is retained about 95%. National tri-color shield decal is retained about 99%. All three liner retaining rivets and both ventilation bushings are all intact. M31 tan leather liner is fully intact with all fingers and original tie string. Liner is well marked with inkstamped size "58". The reverse, interior, neck guard apron is serial/lot number stamped, "664" and the interior, left side, apron has the stamped manufacturer’s code and the size, "Q66", indicating manufacture by F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H. Esslingen", size 66.
The helmet is in very good condition with light Surface wear and most, approximately 95% of the original blue grey paint still intact. Both decals is as described in very good condition also. Liner band, and liner never removed with a tight fit. The leather is a bit dry on some places and shows signs of real use. Chinstrap also still in Place and it match the helmet perfectly in age and use. Overall a very nice M35 Luftwaffe "DD" helmet in good still used condition.
