Heer M40 Camouflaged With Net, Recently Discovered in Denmark

The helmet was recently discovered in Denmark in a bunker on the danish west coast. The grass green camo paint is a well known color tone the german occupation troops in Denmark used.

Stamped sheet steel construction helmet retains about 60% of its camouflage over-paint. All original three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has an M31 tan leather liner with all eight fingers still intact as well as the original tie string. The helmet has serial number intact but very hard to read since the camo paint cover the digits. To the helmet is an attached "fishing" style of net. Tied in Place with a period, black cotton string. The net has an original light blue/green color with Brown color where the Surface rust from the helmet is situated. The net is rather fragile and there is several wear holes along the brim.

Really hard to find original and untouched camo/net helmets especially one like this with a fascinating history behind it!!
