WW1 M16 Helmet reissued to a Heer soldier.

 
 

 
Helmet have approximately 50% of the original field-grey paint present, it also have a lot of surface rust. Here the decal is visible to approximately 15 - 20 %. National decal have been overpainted or removed. 
 
 

 
The helmet have a M35 Helmet liner which is in dry condition, it still have parts of original drawstring present. Also a original chinstrap is present but broken at one side. We find no maker markings inside the helmet, but at the skirt it is painted Boiseen and 17/40 which probably are the wearers name and unit.

 
 
 
Not easy to find reissued M16 helmets!!
