Driver's Profiency Badge in Silver
Introduced October 23rd 1942 by Adolf Hitler in grades of bronze silver and gold. The criteria for bestowal of one of the badges varied with exceptional driving ability and vehicle maintenance and also included a prescribed amount of days under difficult weather or combat conditions. The badge was to be worn on the lower left sleeve of the field and service tunic.
Made of die struck fine Zinc with a clear silver wash. The badge is pinned to Blue "Luftwaffe" colored cloth. The backing paper as well as one prong are missing.
Not to easy to find with Luftwaffe backing!!
