Luftwaffe Bomber's Clasp In Bronze Maker Marked R.S.S.
The Heavy, Medium and Dive Bombers Operational Flying Clasp was introduced by Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring on January 30th 1941.
Two piece Tombak construction clasp made of Zinc with a bronze colored finish. The winged bomb is secured to the clasp with a single rivet which is visible on the reverse. The clasp shows crisp detailing. The reverse of the clasp has a soldered, solid type hinge, a broad tapering horizontal pin, and catch all intact. Maker marked to the reverse besides the Catch: "R.S.S.".
The badge is in very good condition with about 95% of the bronze and silver finish still intact.
