Luftwaffe Flight Badge In Case of Issue
Zinc constructed, two piece badge with the eagle fastened to the wreath with tho rivets. The badge weights 44g and meassures 53mm from top to bottom and 68mm between the wing tips. Hinge, pin and Catch all intact to the reverse. The badge is in very good condition, aprox 10% of the original silver finish is still intact.
Badge is accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of card stock with a faux dark blue leather exterior, obverse lid with gold embossed inscription of ´"Luftwaffe Flugzeugführerabzeichen" which translates to "Luftwaffe Pilot Badge". Interior with blue felt lid liner and slotted blue/grey cardboard medal bed. Functional magnetic metal spring catch with stud release, functional magnetic metal hinge. The case shows light Surface wear and is in very good condition.
