German Cross in Gold, Deschler, Six rivet short needle version.
After finding out that one did not need 10 rivets on the German Cross Deschler made a variant with 6 rivets but still with the short pin. The Catch wire was also the same and it as well as large plate holding the pin was soldered directly to the back plate.
Cross had dimensions of approx 62,1 x 63,7 mm and a weight of 65,6 grams.
This cross is a well worn cross in good condition with a small enamel damage which really is not much distractable, it is a really nice combatworn example which would be perefct to be displayed on a early/mid war combat tunic.
These are not easy to find in any condition!!
