Iron Cross 1939, Second Class. Three piece Construction with a none ferrous core. The core is made of Brass instead of the more common Iron as seen from time to time on early war produced or private purchase examples. Black paint to the Iron core is intact to about 95%. The cross comes complete with suspension ring and a early type of ribbed rayon ribbon. The cross is in good condition with original silvering intact with a light age toning.

 

Rather scarce early war produced exampel with Brass core and correct orange/red colored ribbon!!
