Iron Cross 2'Class 1939 Maker Marked 19

 

Iron Cross 1939, second Class. Three piece Construction with a magnetic Iron core. Black painted Iron core and silver polished edges. The black paint is virtually perfectly intact. The cross comes complete with suspension ring and a ribbed rayon ribbon. The suspension ring is maker marked "19" for "E. Ferd Weidmann, Frankfurt am Main".

 

The cross is in good condition with intact black paint, the front shows two spots of paint loss. Silver frame shows a light age patina. Medal ring and suspension ring intact with original ribbon.
