Kriegsmarine Clerical NCO's Career Sleeve Insignias
On entering Kriegsmarine service all personnel were assigned and trained for a specific career. These careers consisted of a wide variety of specialty trades and functions with some of the careers restricted to certain rank groups. On successful completion of the appropriate training, personnel were issued distinctive career insignia to be worn on the upper left sleeve of the uniforms.
Two different trade patches for Clerical. First one on a oval navy blue wool base with writing quills on a anchor, all in golden yellow cotton threads The reverse of the insignia has a protective backing. Very good condition with minor signs of age.
The other one is the smaller, round type. With Writing quills sewn with golden yellow threads. To the reverse is remnants of old White paper. Besides that, very good condition.
