Custom Zollinspektor's Shoulder Straps
In November 1934 the first Third Reich era pattern insignia including collar tabs and shoulder boards were introduced for all Custom’s Officials in an attempt to bring about uniformity in dress. In August 1937 new pattern insignia was introduced that was utilized for the duration of the war.
1937 pattern, sew on shoulder straps with bright silver/aluminum Russian braids with interwoven dark green "V"s, and gilt washed alloy Gothic letter cyphers, "RFV", indicating Reichsfinanzverwaltung (National Finance Administration) and two gilt washed rank pips, mounted on dark green wool bases. The narrow dark green slip on retaining tongues are intact.
