Brass hilt fittings with matte, gold factory gilding intact to 95% of the dove head, backstrap, knuckle-bow and ferrule. Black celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks, chips or surface damage, and is complete with triple wire wrap. Plated blade is excellent showing light runner and minor spots of age. Blade is complete with a brown leather buffer pad. Scabbard retains most of original factory laquer paint throughout all surfaces. The scabbard is also dent free.
The cross guard has the original owner's initials ingraved as well as the date "1.4.1941".
