Police Bayonet by F.W Höller Solingen
Police Long Bayonet, nice early quality dress bayonet, with approximately 33 cm long nickel plated steel blade. Blade is nice and bright, maker marked "F.W Höller, Solingen". The leather washer is still intact. The bayonet grip is made of simulated stag-horn, with aluminum police insignia firmly attached on one side. The cross guard is decorated with oak leaves and topped by stylized eagle’s head. Both cross guard and eagle’s head and well detailed and in excellent condition.
The dagger comes with its original and perfectly matching scabbard. Length is 35cm with nickel plated steel fittings and blackened leather to the center. The leather shows light signs of age and use and the fittings shows similar light age/wear marks. Overall a perfectly matching set in very good condition.
Hard to find a finer example!!
