Heer / Waffen-SS Large Field Dressing
Each soldier was issued with a large and a small field dressing and given basic instruction on how to properly dress a wound. These field dressing were designed specifically to fit in the field dressing pocket situated in the bottom right front panel of the field blouse.
This example is the larger of the two and is roughly 13cm long and 7cm wide. The dressing is wrapped in a protective waterproofed fabric covering. Cover is well marked and dated for "1942".
