Feldgendarmerie Gorget Maker Marked M
Introduced 1938 and used by both Heer and Waffen-SS. A Feldgendarmerie Gorget of multi piece construction, both gorget and the chain made entirely of die stamped steel (magnetic) and is aluminum coated, while the army eagle and buttons are painted with radium paint. Feldgendarmerie motto/ banner is in black/grey enamel with raised radium painted letters. The back of the gorget has White/grey drill cloth. The central retaining / carrying device is maker mark stamped "M" for the company "Maedicke" located in Berlin.
The gorget shows signs of real use with light signs of real wear to the edges. About 95% of the original paint still intact. Front shows spots of light Surface rust. Reverse protective backing cloth shows some rust stains and light - moderate wear to the edges.
