WW2 Japanese Army 2nd Lieutenant Tunic in Unworn Condition

A mint, totally unworn-conditioned "Type 3" officer's dress tunic with 2nd Lieutenant insignia originally applied to it.  It is made of a high-quality olive drab Gabardine wool and is partly lined with silk cloth.  It has a name tag but it is not named.  The material and the construction is typical of mid-to-latewar tailored Army officer tunics.  The gold-colored buttons, the pair of large collar tabs, the set of sleeve woolen star patches, and the machine-sewn tresse tapes around the sleeves are all of standard types and are proffessionally period-applied by a tailor.  T

Though it looks "new" in the front, there are minor, barely visible moth damage on the back, testifying that it is more than 75 years old.  All in all, it is an awesome looking untouched tunic in a rare superb unworn condition.  Came from a deseased veteran estate and it is believed to be his spare tunic.

Super nice condition, hard to find!!!
