Japanese WW2 Signed National Flag for a Navy Recruit
This flag comes directly from our picker in Japan and has never been on the market Before.
The flag measures 91cm X 62cm. Made of silk. A typical "Yosegaki" signed flag with a handwritten prayer: "Praying for continued luck
in the fortunes of war". This flag is dedicated to "Isamu Yamamoto" at the time of joining the military.
Among numerous names and messages, there is a phrase "Incessant Navy Spirit" suggesting he is a Navy recruit.
A signed flag for navy personnel is much rarer than an army one. The flag is complete with strings and without damage, even though there are a few spot of stains.
Getting harder and harder to find. Especially a Navy dedicated like this one!!
