Japanese Army Infantry Corporal's Type 3 Wool Tunic
This is a Type 3 wool tunic produced from 1943 but has a set of earlier style insignia a pair of Corporal's collar tabs and a branch-color chest patch for Infantry. The tunic came from a private home, so the insignia are rightly assumed to be period-sewn and certainly look
like it. Inside lapel is well stamped: "Type 3, (Medium Size) Manufactured in 1944.” All bron colored bakelite buttons are originally-sewn and totally intact. There are some dark stains (most likely blood) on the cotton lining and some slight fading of olive drab wool but there are no moth damage.
Very scarce EM Infantry tunic in very good condition!!
