Named Japanese Army Recruit's Summer Cotton Tunic

Type 98 cotton tunic issued to a recruit near the end of the war. The tunic is barely worn but complete with a name tag and a pair of late-war machine-woven collar tabs for the rank of Private. It is named to "Simpei Akashi" and his sir name - "Akashi" - can be seen on the name tag sewn on the front of the tunic just above the left chest pocket. It is very rare to find a tunic with a Private's tag still intact. Inside is well marked with quartermaster stamp which reads: "Type 98" and "Size 6 (Medium), Made in 1942, Inspected by Hiroshima Depot."

The condition is very good - it has no rips, no repairs or stains. There are only very small signs of wear inside the collar. Also, some minor rust is seen around the steel buttons and collar hooks.
