WWII US Navy Leather Flight Suit
This is a full-length leather flight suit, is a size 42. These high altitude, Leather Suit was used during WWII. Manufactured for the U.S. Navy's Bureau of Aeronautics by the Colvinex Corporation, heavyweight lined Leather Suit with a brown fur collar. This Suit has a 24-volt electrical heating system installed in the lining. All the zippers and snaps on all the pockets and the wrist and legs are in working condition. This Suit retains the original belt and the inside suspenders.
The Suit is in very good, still used condition with Close to no wear to the fur collar. Sleeve ends and lining shows clear signs of use with stains from use. The elather is still very soft and pliable.
The flight suit comes from a private house-hold in Sweden together with a flight jacket. Both items was a gift from a US pilot to the sellers father back in the late 1940's!!
