US WWII Private Purchase Flight Jacket
The jacket is made of smooth and pliable leather with a fur collar, two waist pockets and intact zipper for closure. Inside is fully lined with red/Brown rayon. The lining has the original tailors label machine sewn to the neck. It reads "Mallory Outer WEAR, New York". The jacket has no rips, holes or mendings but still shows clear signs of use over a longer duration of time.
The jacket comes from a private house-hold in Sweden together with a flight-suit also listed for sale. Both items was a gift from a US pilot to the sellers father back in the late 1940's!!
