US WWII M43 Folding Shovel and Carrier
A 1943 model folding shovel that is marked "U.S". The wooden handle has a folding and locking steel head. The shovel has been repainted with green paint. The carrier is made from olive drab webbed cotton and is of later production. Most likely about 1950's.
