"Bilddokumente vom Kriegseinsatz unserer Frauen und Mütter ", Women Contribute to Victory - Photographs of Women and Mothers in the War Effort is a First Edition from 1941 with a foreword by Reichsfrauenführerin Gertrud Scholtz-Klink and published by Zeitgeschichte-Verlag of Berlin. The idea for this book came from Wilhelm Havemann and it has an introduction by German author and psychologist Werner Picht who was a Wehrmacht Press Officer during World War II.

The big, sharp black & white photographs in this book show German women during World War II in a variety of occupations that were traditionally done by men from delivering mail to running transit systems. While German men were away as soldiers in the Wehrmacht, the book point out that restless and hardworking German women were doing their duty for the Fatherland at home.

The clear, full- and half-page photos show women as telephonists, bus conductors, train drivers, engineers, plane spotters, harvesting crops and cleaning chimneys, but also as nurses caring for wounded soldiers, entertaining soldiers, etc. Includes a photo of famous pilot Hanna Reitsch wearing her Iron Cross 2nd Class.
