WWI German Trench Knife
Original WW1 era German Army fighting dagger – classic circa 1915-1916 full-tang construction Kampfmesser (close combat knife) trench knife with wood handle scales, forged curved iron guard, and original metal scabbard.
This fighting knife is in good used condition, minor pitting and the blade has been sharpened, mostly to the tip. The blade is completely unmarked it is pretty Sharp, still the tip is intact. Original varnished wood handle scales are nice and tight the dagger is solid with no loose parts.
Original metal scabbard. Leather belt hanger ,the leather is soft an supple. The guard has a black paint layer which looks old and can be from the period. Since knifes like this was used in the trenches, night fighting and so on it makes perfect sense to find them with subdued metal parts.
Over 100 year old Germany trench knife in very good used condition!!
