German Imperial Rare Three Place Medal Bar
Three Place medal bar which starts with a Iron Cross 2nd class 1914 followed by order of the Zähringer Lion Knights Cross 1'st class with swords and ends with Bavarian order of Military Merit Knights cross, fourth class with swords. The medal bar is mounted on grey colored cloth with intact attachment pin and hook to the reverse.
The order of Zähringer Lion is marked with a "D" for doubliert which means that the cross is made of silver with a gold coating. This was the practise used by the maker "C. F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. The order is in good condition with a minor chip located to its 12 o'clock arm, see Pictures. This version is very rare with only 718 awarded. The Bavarian order of military merit is maker and silver marked to the reverse of the swords.
