Iron cross 2'nd class for the Franco-Prussian war of 1870-1871. "Steinhauer & Lück" production ca 1900 for recipients who never received one or had lost his original cross. 3 part construction consisting of 2 silver frames with a magnetic iron core. Most of the black paint finish to the core and silvering to the edges. Intact medal and suspension ring made of Brass. The suspension ring has been resoldered or had extra led inserted to the medal ring. Often seen on parade / medalbars.
