Imperial German M1916 Helmet, Named And Unit Marked

The helmet is made of stamped, sheet steel. It retains about 80+ % of its original field-grey paint. The helmet has both of the extended ventilation side lugs and all three of the flat headed liner retaining rivets. The interior of the helmet has 1916 pattern, three pad leather liner with sheet-metal retaining band intact. All three leather pads are complete and still have their original horse hair stuffing. Original drawstring still in Place. The inside reverse of the helmet skirt has a name hand written and rather hard to read. Also stencil printed/painted unit information which reads "u.R(?) 168.6.K.44." Size and manufacurer code intact. The size is 64.

The helmet shows clear signs of age and use. 80% or more of the original field-grey paint still intact. Liner band and rivets complete and has never been out with a very nice dust build up. Leather liner shows signs of age and use. Leather is rather dry but all complete.
