Preussen Model M1916 Officers visor cap.
M1916 model grey doeskin cloth body visor cap with bright red colour to piping and wool horizontal centerband. Preussen Officers cockade as well as a National Officer´s cockade. The cap has a fieldgrey vulcan fibre visor correct for the 1916 model.
Outside the cap show medium wear and has chafe/nap wear to edges and highlighted positions. No direkt staining on the top. Red centerband has two small Cuts above the Preussina cocade (probably from long storage where cocade have eaten in to the cloth, the centernad also have some dirt and stain to it from wear.
Inside the lining is made from golden smoth cotton cloth which is in a similar worn condition to the rest of the cap, it has wear and quite heavy staining. No markings inside. Cap has it´s original darkbrown leather sweatband and it is in matching condition to the rest of the cap, it has come slightly loose at the rear. Capo also has a damage to the inside paperroundell at that Place and it is broken there.
Cap has a cool apperance and is a cap which for sure have been worn quite a bit during the war.
Cap is a for the period large size approx 58.
